Advisory Group for Women in Global Health (WGH) Norway
The Advisory Group for Women in Global Health (WHG) Norway convened a webinar on COVID-19, the virus that causes childbirth and other birth defects. The focus of the webinar was the impact of COVID-19 on midwives, obstetricians, and general health care services. Moreover, participants discussed common challenges in Somalia and Germany. The next webinar will focus on the gender equity of health workers in global health organizations.
Rena Greifinger, co-founder of WGH, is a social entrepreneur, philanthropist, and advocate for gender equity. She is currently the Managing Director of PSI’s Maverick Collective, a community of female philanthropists. Her role at PSI involves advising the organization’s work in global health issues. In the past, Rena served as the Global Youth and Girls Advisor for PSI. She led the organization’s work in incorporating design-thinking approaches and the private sector.
